Beside the work as airline cabin crew in Hong Kong, Kaori had qualified as a sommelier by Japan sommelier Association(JSA) in 2001 .Since 2003 in the French Cooking Class “La Table Enchantee” she had collaborated with a chef, Ms. Keiko Inoue, wine seminars regularly which emphasised about “Marriage”- food and wine paring – for any situations from daily home cooking casual food to high end restaurant dishes in order to enjoy wines. By following year, 2004 the chef Inoue had opened Japanese restaurant “Ajitomi” at Causeway Bay, then her seminar had also continued its venue. Aside of seminars at Ajitomi, she conducted special seminars at the Hong Kong Japanese Club, the Hong Kong Japanese Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
She had continued to study and qualified as a senior sommelier of JSA in 2007 and obtained Advanced Certificate of the UK Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) in 2010 and Diploma certificate of WSET in 2014.
Kaori passionates to learn wines and to share its knowledge to others as well as she is active in wine business in Hong Kong such as tasting judge, and now she has a position as director at J-Vinifity which is a company for importer and distributer of Japanese wines in Hong Kong.
